Get your mileage and elevation

There are many of these mapping tools to log your runs but this one seems especially cool. It uses Google Maps so it is familiar and easy to use:

The best thing about running is...

Post run/hike up Mt. Tallac in Desolation Wilderness near South Lake Tahoe. I went up the Glen Alpine Trail near Fallen Leaf Lake and came back on the Catherine Lake via the regular Mt. Tallac trail. I can't recommend the Catherine Lake trail, it is too brushy and hard to get a good rhythm. The Glen Alpine trail is the ticket because you can go to the water fall (above) afterwards or swim in Fallen Leaf Lake and have a Big Blonde burger.
