MOD - Milly
This is the first in a series of video of Zone/Paleo meals of the day (MOD). The hardest part of staying on a performance-based diet is that it takes a while to weigh and measure food. Each of these meals will be named, like CrossFit WODs and will be for time. My hope is that these will show some tricks and tips to make staying on a healthy diet easier.

Somehow I missed that you were doing the blog. What kind of hotplate are you using?
How long did it take you to measure the food out?
Did you say you bought "Menudo Mix" from a store named "Mexican Pete's"?
How did you crush the garlic?
Do you use fresh or frozen vegetables? Do you think it matters?
What kind of sausage did you buy?
What kind of almonds? Raw? Roasted? Salted/unsalted? Do you think it matters?
The hot plate I am using I got from Smart and Final and it cost over $100. I think there are better deals out there. It has to get hot though so buy one with the most power.
Food measuring is part of the final time.
Menudo mix comes from Chavez Market on El Camino and 5th in Redwood City.
I used the crushed garlic at Trader Joe's. You can also peel and buy a garlic crusher but that takes too much time.
Fresh is always the first choice but most people agree that frozen are just as nutritious.
I buy my sausage (and little else) at Whole Foods.
The raw almonds at Costco are a very good deal. Raw are best. Salt is not paleo, but they taste good :-)
Saul this looks really yummy. We're trying this weekend for breakfast!!!
